Oyo NUJIC honours Deputy Speaker as best legislator of the year

..as DS pledges continuous support for Union

The Nigeria Union of Journalists, Information Chapel, NUJIC, led by Comrade Ismail Fasasi, has recognized the Deputy Speaker, Hon Muhammad Fadeyi, with an Award of Excellence, bearing best legislature of Year 2022.

The group stated that the rationale was based on the recipient’s various contributions to the practice and development of journalism in the state.

The plague was handed over to the lawmaker on Thursday by the members of union, in his Office, at the House of Assembly, Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan.

While receiving the Award, the Deputy Speaker, Hon Muhammad Fadeyi, thanked members of the Union for counting him worthy of honour, saying that the award will spur him to do more for the development of the journalists in the State and the Information Chapel.

He said: “As best legislature of the year, this is a very commendable one. You are asking me to work harder. While receiving this award, I want you to pray for us in the forthcoming election, as it is very critical; that God should put us through and make us victorious.

“Once again, I want to thank NUJIC for this honour bestowed on me.”
