Your Vituperation Against Wike is Reckless – Group Lambasts Ladi Adebutu
A group called National Equity Group has lambasted a gubernatorial candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun state, Hon. Ladi Adebutu for a statement credited to him over the weekend wherein he called on the Rivers state Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike and other four governors in his camp to leave the party and form another one if they are not ready to accept Iyorchia Ayu as the National Chairman of the party.
The group expressed their displeasure to Hon. Adebutu’s comment in a release signed by its Secretary-General, Fredrick Samson and made available to journalists on Sunday evening.
According to the statement, “it is very easy to understand Adebutu and what he stands for. We are equally not surprised that Adebutu is doing the bidding of Ayu, whom his father ( Sir Adebutu Kessington ) alleged to have bribed with a sum of one billion naira to secure Ogun state gubernatorial ticket.
It would be recalled that Governor Nyesom Wike has repeatedly called on Ayu to deny the allegation that he collected a sum of One Billion naira from an aspirant in Ogun state, which he (Ayu) has never come out to deny or respond to.
From this brouhaha, it is logical to infer then that if Ayu goes, Ladi Adebutu’s political dreams fizzle out.
Is Ladi Adebutu in any way a match for Jimi Lawal in Ogun state? Is Iyorchia Ayu not victimising Jimi because of the One Billion naira he collected to install Ladi Adebutu at all cost? The facts have provided answers to these posers.
Court has ruled that Ogun state PDP should go back to conduct a fresh primary Election, using an authentic list which is different from the fake one that was doctored by Iyorchia Ayu in order to favour Ladi Adebutu’s illegal emergence as the gubernatorial candidate. The Court of law has equally directed INEC not to recognise anyone yet as gubernatorial candidate in Ogun until further notice.
These unfolding events have placed Ladi Adebutu in a fix right now. One Billion naira is going down the drain. Isn’t it? Ayu is fighting to salvage Ladi again by using a fictitious National Working Committee (NWC) to expel Jimi Lawal and other leaders from the party so as to pave the way to create a smooth passage for Ladi.
However, Jimi Lawal is always a step ahead of them. While Jimi Lawal is on the drawing board, brainstorming on political issues, Ladi is roaming all the clubs in Nigeria bathing in champagne and whiskey among other paedophiles and underaged girls.
It is therefore not far-fetched to deduce the reasons behind Ladi Adebutu’s infantile radicalism and verbal recklessness. A would be Governor ought to be more honourable in his speeches, not behaving like someone who is a drunkard.” The statement concluded.
