Oyo South YPP Senatorial candidate, Adenike Victor-Tade admonishes electorate to shun vices as 2023 elections approach
…doles out empowerment materials to constituents
As 2023 general election is fast approaching, electorates have been admonished to shun all election vices as well as turn deaf ears to vote selling which was described as an invitation to maladministration and bad governance.
Young Progressive Party, YPP, flag bearer, Oyo South Senatorial district, Reverend Dr. Adenike Victor-Tade, popularly known as ‘Mama Empowerment’, admonished Nigerians while extending her good gesture to the people of Ido local governments through an empowerment program held at the St Andrew Anglican Church, Omi-Adio, Ibadan.
Speaking with National Daily News, Dr. Mrs. Victor-Tade emphasized the reasons behind the empowerment is to reduce and eradicate crime rate in the society, adding that it would also build people trust in her, she therefore promised to do better if given the opportunity to represent Oyo south senatorial district at the red chamber in Abuja.
She said “my major dream is to see people out of poverty, its is obvious there is wide unemployment, I did this to give unemployed people the opportunity to be engaged and be getting money in order to reduce and eradicate crime in the society.
With little time spent together, I am sure people can see sincerity and integrity in me which I believe it is exactly what is needed”
She further explained that candidates’ antecedent regardless of the party he or she belong to, should form peoples’ choice in choosing whom will govern them, she assured the people that if electorates can vote their minds, 2023 will give birth to a new Nigeria
While being positive to break the jinx of the two-party syndrome in Nigeria, by leading the team that will vote candidates of their choice in the next general election, Reverend Dr. Adenike Victor-Tade, popularly known as ‘Mama Empowerment’ assured the people of her constituency, YPP continuous empowerment, sensitization, and orientation programs.
In their separate remarks, Acting, Coordinator of Ido local government, Christian Association of Nigeria, Apostle Henry Jemini, Coordinator, Christian Council of Nigeria, CCN, Ido, Reverend S O J Adeyemi and CAN zonal leader, Most Apostle D. O Akintunde, noted that empowerment programs would help youth to be active, useful and engaged, rather than being idle and become devil’s workshop, they therefore enjoined the participant to use the opportunity wisely
While pledging their support through canvassing for Mama Empowerment to emerge victory and become the next, Oyo South Senatorial district representative in Abuja come February 2023 election, encourage her not to relent in the program that will uplift people from poverty to prosperity
Responding, Hundreds of participants who cannot hide their joyous mood after benefiting from the program, described the empowerment program as impactful, insightful, informative and encouraging, they urged other politicians to emulate Reverend Dr. Adenike Victor-Tade
Some participant also encouraged Mama Empowerment, to persist to be a visional, reformer, transformer and should not deviate after achieving her aim, they gave her their words to spread her name like wildfire in their various communities.
Cross section of hundreds participants from different religions who were taught on how to make vaseline and hair cream, smiled home with ingredients to start up on their own, while many other takes home other souvenirs.
Brethren from other religion were available, an indication that Mama Empowerment is for all. Her scholarship programs includes her 26yr-old Entrepreneurship support ( free training, N10,000 monthly allowance for 12 months of the training, giving out machines at the end of the training, free mentorship and provision of the market ) secondly her private polytechnic scholarship – Novelty Polytechnic- the admission is still on.
