Oyo Govt Reveals Three Thematic Areas To Improve State Indices On Human Capital Development

Oyo state government has hinted on plans to draw up a comprehensive work plan across three thematic areas that would improve the state indices on human capital development
The executive assistant to the Governor and focal person, Revd Idowu Ogedengbe disclosed this shortly after technical workshop with senior career officers in the state service and and consultant for South West zone on human capital development
The executive assistant enlisted health and nutrition, education and employment generation amongst other focus of the team, noting that as soon as a work plan had been generated, interventions would be rolled out leveraging on National Human Capital Development (NHDC) partners to improve the general wellbeing of the people in Oyo state
He also hinted on the challenge of funds and how the technical team intended to establish a budget that would aid its administration and ability to fulfill its mandate
In his remark, consultant in charge of South West, Dr. Dayo Adeyanju explained that the National Human Capital Development (NHCD) was launched in 2018 by the National Economic Council as a result of observed decline in human capital development rating in Nigeria , adding that Oyo state would experience a better intervention as a result of the initiative
The zonal consultant also stressed the program aimed at addressing poverty and sustainable policy, increase investment and improve human capital development indices across and conceive steps in accelerating human capital development.
