Sharafadeen Alli Emerges Oyo South APC Senatorial Candidate

Sharafadeen Alli, one of the former governor, Rashidi Ladoja’s closest Ally, has emerged the winner of the Oyo South Senatorial district primary of the All Progressive Congress APC .

The former council chairman, secretary to the state government and the chief of staff in the administration of Ladoja, defeated late former governor Ajimobi’s son-in-law, Kolapo Kola Daisi; incumbent and younger brother of the Olubadan of Ibadan, Kola Balogun and former finance commissioner, Bimbo Adekambi.

He had 185 votes while Kola Daisi polled 145, Kola Balogun 84 while Adekambi had 72 votes.

Alli who his the Maye Balogun of Ibadan land, will slug it out with an Ibadan Mogaji, Chief Joseph Tegbe, who has secured the ticket of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
