Makinde Floors Gbolarunmi to Emerge PDP gubernatorial candidate

Oyo state governor Engineer Syi makinde has emerged the flag-bearer of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP for the gubernatorial election coming up in 2023.

Governor makinde was declared winner by the Chief Returning Officer of Oyo state PDP Electoral Committee, Senator Ben Obi, who was represented by Alhaji Abdullahi Maibasira having polled 1040 out of 1048 accredited delegates.

In his acceptance speech, governor makinde, who expressed gratitude to party leaders, members and delegates across the 33 local government areas for believing in him and the leaders of the party in the state.

He further said that in every trust there must be foundation and because of his truth the delegates has put their trust on him.

Makinde vowed to keep all the promises he had made to the party and the people of the state.

He promised to do everything within his possible best to take the state from poverty to prosperity.
