Oladosu Vows To Sustain Legacy of Late Captain, As IGC Sets To Commission New Admin Building

As the prestigious Ibadan Golf Club has sets to commission its multimillion naira administrative building which was donated to them by a member, Barr Abiodun Olatunji SAN, the captain of Club Tunji Oladosu has commended the Ola Ibironke the late captain of the club, vowed to sustain his legacy.
Oladosu said this while addressing press ahead of the program lined up for the commissioning scheduled for 11th to 14th May, 2022, saying the project was initiated by the late Ola Ibironke popularly known as Dudu Heritage regretting that it is quite unfortunate that he is no more to witness the commissioning.
“We are assuring you that we are keeping the good works that he has started and that is why we are going to honour him with this project; the VIP lounge will be name after his name as a way of immortalizing his good name and numerous good work his had done for this great club” said Oladosu.
He added that, “the structure could be ranked among the best in the golf clubs in Nigeria with top notch facilities such as modernized bar which is of international standard and a well equipped VIP lounge, while we also now have a pro-shop whereby golfers materials will be displayed for sale”.
Also speaking during the press briefing, the Chairman of the building committee, Engr. Yomi Salami said over 250 golfers are expected to participate in the golf competition designed as activities to mark the commissioning with Governor Seyi Makinde who is also a member of the club expecting to cut the tape to commission the block.
Engr. Salami did not fail to recognize and appreciate the efforts of Barr Olatunji SAN, who singlehandedly bankrolled the construction of the ultra-modern building, describing him as a jolly good fellow and a lover of the game of golf that spared nothing to support the game.
Other members of the building committee that had worked assiduously in ensuring a memorable commissioning event are the club’s secretary, Mr. Seyi Alaba, Chief Yomi Layinka and Otunba Abimbola Davis.
