66TH Independence Anniversary: Fagbemi Calls For Unity National Renewal And A Reset Nigeria
The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) candidate for the Ibadan South-West/North-West Federal Constituency, Mogaji Akin Fagbemi, has felicitated with Nigerians on the occasion of the 66th Independence Anniversary of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, calling on citizens to unite in the collective pursuit of a better and more prosperous nation.
Mogaji Fagbemi, in his Independence Day message, described the anniversary as an opportunity for Nigerians to reflect on the nation’s journey, celebrate its resilience and renew their commitment to building a country where every citizen can live with dignity, security and opportunity.
He particularly called on the people of Ibadan South-West and Ibadan North-West to remain united and actively participate in the political and democratic process, stressing that meaningful national transformation requires the participation of citizens at every level.
According to him, Nigeria stands at a critical moment in its democratic journey, requiring leadership that prioritises economic opportunity, security, education, healthcare, youth development, job creation and accountable governance.
“NIGERIA NEEDS A RESET”
Fagbemi urged Nigerians to join the Reset Nigeria movement championed by the APM presidential candidate, Governor Seyi Makinde, ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The APM has formally presented Governor Seyi Makinde as its presidential candidate, while the party’s campaign has been built around its Reset Nigeria agenda.
Fagbemi said the Reset Nigeria agenda should be viewed as a call for Nigerians to become active participants in shaping the country’s future.

The APM candidate further called on constituents across Ibadan South-West and Ibadan North-West to remain committed to peaceful democratic participation and issue-based politics.
He reiterated his commitment to quality representation, youth and women empowerment, education, healthcare, job creation, entrepreneurship and community development, areas he has identified as priorities for the constituency.
Fagbemi urged constituents to see the 2027 election as an opportunity to demand effective representation and meaningful development while encouraging them to engage candidates and political parties on issues that directly affect their communities.
