2027: Alli Unleashes ex-Nation Bureau Chief, former Ajimobi aide, ex-NUJ chairman join campaign team

…As Bisi Oladele takes Media and Publicity, Olaosebikan Strategic Communication

The All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship candidate in Oyo State, Senator Dr Sharafadeen Alli, has appointed seasoned journalists and communication professionals into key positions in his campaign media and publicity team ahead of the 2027 general elections.

According to a statement by the Media Consultant to the candidate, Dare Adekanmbi, made available to newsmen on Thursday in Ibadan, Mr Bisi Oladele has been appointed Director of Media and Publicity, while Mr Kehinde Olaosebikan will serve as Director of Strategic Communication and Mr Bolaji Tunji as Director of Public Affairs.

The statement also named the immediate past Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Oyo State Council, Chief Ademola Babalola, as Deputy Director, while the Oyo State APC Publicity Secretary, Mr Olawale Sadare, will serve as Secretary of the media and publicity team.

Oladele, a seasoned multimedia journalist and communication strategist with over 25 years’ experience in journalism and public relations, was until his appointment the Executive Editor of Newspeak Media and Chairman of the South-West Guild of Online Publishers, SWEGOP.

Olaosebikan, a veteran media practitioner, served as Chief Press Secretary to the late Oyo State Governor, Lam Adesina, while Tunji served as Special Adviser on Communication and Strategy to the late Governor Abiola Ajimobi.

The statement added that the new team, which includes other experienced professionals such as Mr Ayotunde Olude, is expected to strengthen the campaign’s media visibility, strategic communication, public engagement and information management ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
