APM Lagos Gubernatorial Candidate Pays Tribute to Late Funsho Williams on 20th Anniversary

…Says the former PDP governorship candidate’s legacy of integrity and service remains an inspiration

The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) governorship candidate for Lagos State in the 2027 election, Prince Laja Adeoye, has paid tribute to the late former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Engr. Funsho Williams, on the 20th anniversary of his death.

In a commemorative statement marking the anniversary, Adeoye described the late Williams as an icon, an enigma, and a leader whose vision, integrity, and courage left an enduring legacy in Lagos politics and Nigeria’s democratic journey.

He noted that although Funsho Williams was assassinated on July 27, 2006, his contributions to the development of Lagos State and the ideals of good governance continue to inspire many across political divides.

The APM governorship candidate urged political leaders and residents of Lagos to honour Williams’ memory by promoting unity, remaining committed to the welfare of the people, and upholding the values of selfless service for which he was known.

Adeoye prayed for the peaceful repose of the late politician’s soul and expressed hope that his legacy would continue to serve as a source of inspiration for future generations of leaders.
