Amb. Adedipe Dauda Ewenla, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Alimosho Federal Constituency in the 2027 House of Representatives election, has commended Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, and security agencies for the successful rescue of the teachers and pupils abducted in Oyo State.

In a statement, Ewenla described the rescue operation as a testament to responsive governance, effective coordination, and sustained investment in security.

He said Governor Makinde’s prompt intervention and continuous support for security operations demonstrated his unwavering commitment to the protection of lives and property in the state.

The PDP chieftain also praised the Nigerian Police Force, the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigerian Army, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), local intelligence networks, and other personnel involved in the operation for their professionalism, courage, and sacrifice.

Ewenla congratulated the rescued teachers, pupils, and their families on their safe return and prayed for their speedy recovery from the traumatic experience.

According to him, the successful rescue underscores the importance of collaboration among governments, security agencies, and local communities in tackling criminal activities and enhancing public safety.

He called on governments at all levels to strengthen intelligence gathering, improve security infrastructure, provide modern equipment for security personnel, and promote community-based policing to ensure the safety of schools, communities, and highways across the country.
