President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reassured residents of Oyo State and the South-West that the Federal Government is intensifying efforts to tackle banditry, kidnapping and other criminal activities across the country.

President Tinubu represented by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, at the commissioning of the newly transformed Premier Hotel in Ibadan, the President said all necessary measures, including international collaboration, are being deployed to secure the release of victims abducted in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.

President Tinubu reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to guaranteeing the safety of Nigerians, investors and visitors, urging citizens to remain vigilant and cooperate with security agencies.

He also called on traditional rulers and faith-based institutions to play active roles in supporting government efforts to improve security.

The President noted that Nigeria is becoming more secure, better connected and increasingly attractive to investors.

He said ongoing improvements in security, infrastructure and economic reforms, alongside strategic investments such as the refurbished Premier Hotel, are positioning the country for greater prosperity.

According to him, the administration’s reforms are strengthening the economy, boosting investor confidence and attracting new investments, while Nigeria’s foreign reserves have reached their highest level in two decades.

He described the revitalised Premier Hotel as a symbol of confidence in Nigeria’s future and urged investors to take advantage of the country’s vast opportunities.

President Tinubu also charged stakeholders to preserve the nation’s heritage, embrace innovation, create opportunities for young people and build institutions that will support sustainable development for generations to come.
