Oyo Police Begin Investigation into Abduction of Adelabu’s Sister, Twin Children

…Victims’ vehicle recovered as security operatives step up rescue efforts

The Oyo State Police Command has commenced investigations into the reported abduction of Mrs. Olufunmilayo Aduke Adegoke and her twin sons, who were allegedly kidnapped by unidentified persons earlier on Wednesday.

In a statement issued by the State Police Public Relations officer, DSP Ayanlade Olayinka disclosed that upon receiving information about the incident, the Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Command, immediately directed the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of the Challenge Division, alongside other tactical units, to move to the scene of the incident.

According to the police, the victim’s vehicle was recovered at the scene, while intensive investigations have since begun to determine the circumstances surrounding the abduction and track down those responsible.

The Command assured residents that all necessary resources and operational assets have been deployed to facilitate the safe rescue of the victims and ensure the arrest and prosecution of the perpetrators.

“The Command wishes to assure members of the public that all necessary resources have been deployed to ensure the safe rescue of the victims and the apprehension of those responsible for this criminal act,” the statement said.

Police authorities further noted that investigations are ongoing and pledged to keep the public informed of significant developments as efforts continue.

The Command appealed to residents to remain calm, law-abiding and vigilant, while urging anyone with useful information that could assist ongoing investigations to promptly report such information to the nearest police station or relevant security agencies.
