Oyo SWAN Celebrates Ex-Chairman Alebiosu on Retirement from Nigerian Tribune

… Association applauds former chairman’s service, leadership, and mentorship

Oyo State chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) has congratulated its immediate past chairman, Adeniyi Abdul-Aziz Alebiosu, on his retirement from the African Newspapers of Nigeria (ANN) Plc, publishers of the Nigerian Tribune.

In a statement issued and signed by Oyo State SWAN Chairman, Ayomiku Ajibola the association, SWAN described Alebiosu’s exit as the culmination of about 30 years of dedicated and impactful service to one of Nigeria’s oldest privately owned newspapers.

The association praised Alebiosu for his professionalism and contributions to sports journalism, noting that he built a reputation as a respected reporter and mentor within the industry.

His coverage of sporting events and commitment to journalistic ethics were highlighted as key aspects of his legacy.

SWAN also commended his leadership during his tenure as chairman in Oyo State, where he was credited with promoting unity and effectively managing the affairs of the association alongside his responsibilities at the Nigerian Tribune.

While marking his retirement from active service at ANN Plc, the association emphasized that Alebiosu’s experience remains valuable to the media and sports community.

The body wished him good health, longevity, and fulfillment in retirement, as well as success in future personal and professional pursuits.
