Federal Character Commission Raises Concern Over Low Turnout in Police Recruitment Screening

The Federal Character Commission (FCC) Commissioner representing Oyo State, Ayodeji Abass Aleshinloye, has expressed concern over the low turnout of shortlisted applicants in the ongoing Nigeria Police Force recruitment exercise.

Speaking during an interview with journalists, Aleshinloye urged youths across the state, particularly those who have applied, been shortlisted, and invited for screening, to take full advantage of the opportunity before the exercise concludes on the 18th of this month.

He stressed that active participation of eligible candidates is critical, warning that failure to attend the screening could negatively impact the state’s representation in the police force.

According to him, other regions of the country are already maximizing such opportunities, adding that youths from Oyo State must not be left behind.

Aleshinloye reiterated his commitment to promoting the core principles of the FCC, emphasizing the need for fairness, equity, and inclusiveness in federal recruitment processes to ensure no state or group is marginalized.

He further assured that he would continue to advocate for Oyo State’s rightful representation at the federal level, urging all shortlisted candidates to seize the opportunity without delay.
