Excitement as Oluyole LG chairman Distributes Christmas Largesse to Party Leaders, Stakeholders
There was jubilation across Oluyole Local Government area yesterday as the Executive Chairman, Engr. Akeem Olatunji distributed Christmas largesse to party leaders and key stakeholders.
The cash and food distribution for Christmas celebration held on Tuesday in the Chairman’s office at the LG Secretariat, Idi-Ayunre, Ibadan, where party leaders and stakeholders received their packages.
The distribution attracted party executives, ward leaders, women and youth leaders, elders, and loyal stakeholders from across the local government.
Addressing the PDP stakeholders, Engr. Olatunji said the gesture was not about celebration alone but about appreciation and solidarity.
He noted that the stability and progress recorded in Oluyole were products of collective effort, sacrifice, and trust built over the years.
“This season reminds us that leadership is about people. Whatever we have been able to achieve as an administration is because of the support, patience, and loyalty of party leaders and stakeholders at the grassroots. It is only right to share joy with those who have stood firm with us,” Olatunji said.
Beneficiaries received food items and other Christmas essentials, a move they described as timely, given the prevailing economic realities.
Several party leaders praised the chairman for remaining connected to the grassroots and for sustaining a culture of consultation and empathy.
Speaking on behalf of party stakeholders, a senior party chieftain described the chairman as a unifying figure who understands the political terrain and the everyday struggles of party faithful.
According to him, the Christmas outreach reflected a deeper commitment to welfare, not just during elections but as a continuous responsibility.
Women and youth leaders also took turns to express appreciation, noting that the administration had consistently recognized their roles in governance and party organization.
They pledged continued support for the chairman’s leadership and his developmental agenda in the local government.
