President Bola Tinubu has announced the successful rescue of 38 abducted worshippers in Eruku, Kwara State, following intensified operations by Nigeria’s security forces.

President Tinubu made the announcement In a statement on Sunday, through The Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) ‘X’ handle, the President also confirmed that 51 out of the abducted students of a Catholic school in Niger State have been recovered.

He said he has been receiving continuous updates from the security frontline and is monitoring developments across the country.

President Tinubu recalled that he cancelled his planned trip to the G20 Summit in South Africa to coordinate national security efforts, emphasizing that the safety of Nigerians remains his top priority.

The President reiterated his commitment to restoring peace and protecting citizens in all parts of the country, declaring that every Nigerian has the right to safety.

According to him, “I will not relent. Every Nigerian, in every state, has the right to safety, and under my watch, we will secure this nation and protect our people.”
