The Olubadan palace traditional drummers are expected at the Bodija residence of the Olubadan designate, Oba Rasidi Ladoja on Tuesday.
This is line with the Ibadan Chieftancy tradition.
The movement of the palace traditional drummers is being delayed due to the long absence of the Olubadan designate, Oba Ladoja.
However, Nigerian Tribune authoritatively gathered that the drummers are expected to resume at the Bodija residence of Oba Ladoja on Tuesday.
A source close to the Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba Tajudeen Ajibola disclosed that the movement has been confirmed.
Oba Ajibola will give the directives on the movement of the drummers on Tuesday.
The Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba Tajudeen Ajibola is expected to give the directives as the Most senior High Chief in the land.
The development, according to our source is a pointer that Oba Ladoja is expected in the town this week to commence the enthronement rites.
The source added, ‘With the movement of the drummers, we are expecting the Olubadan designate in town before the end of the week.
Similarly, the Oyo State governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde is expected to assent the nomination of Oba Ladoja as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland this week.
The Olubadan-i-Council led by Oba Ajibola has forwarded the name of Oba Ladoja to the Governor as their nominee.
The motion to the effect was moved by Oba Ajibola and seconded by Osi Olubadan, Oba Eddy Oyewole at the Council meeting held last week at Olubadan Palace, Oke-Aremo in Ibadan North local governnent area
