Oyo State PDP Mourns Demise of Chief Adeojo

… Describes his death as Monumental loss to the party

The Oyo State Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has announced with deep sorrow the passing of Chief Yekini Adeojo, a revered leader and statesman, on Friday, April 4, 2025.

The statement was released and signed by the Acting Publicity Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Oyo State Chapter, Hon. Michael Ogunsin today, described Chief Adeojo as a political colossus and a pillar of democracy in Oyo State and Nigeria.

According to the statement, Chief Adeojo was the first PDP gubernatorial candidate in Oyo State and a former member of the PDP Board of Trustees.

Who also played a key role in mentoring Governor Seyi Makinde.

The statement further stated that beyond politics, Chief Adeojo was a distinguished religious leader, serving as the Seriki Adinni of Yoruba Muslims.

He also demonstrated immense commitment to promoting peace, unity, and religious harmony.

Chief Adeojo’s influence extended to philanthropy, community development, and the upliftment of countless individuals.

The statement noted that his legacy continues through his children, including Hon. Sheriff Adeojo, the Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government, and Hon. Elias Adeojo, the Chairman of the Oyo State Water Corporation.

The Oyo State PDP described Chief Adeojo’s passing as a monumental loss to his family, the party, Oyo State, and Nigeria as a whole.

In his honor, the party directed that all party flags be flown at half-mast across the state.

The party extended its deepest condolences to Chief Adeojo’s family, friends, associates, and the entire people of Oyo State.

They prayed that Almighty Allah forgives his shortcomings and grants him Aljannah Firdaus.
