OYRTMA ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AS GOVERNOR MAKINDE COMMISSIONS LEKAN SALAMI STADIUM, ADAMASINGBA
Oyo State Roads Transport Management Authority has advised the members of the motoring public and general commuters travelling from or to Ibadan metropolis through to take alternative routes by boycotting Adamasingba due to the official commissioning of the remodelled Adamasingba sporting complex.
The release was made by the chairman Oyo state road transport management authority, Mogaji Akin-Fagbemi to the newsmen today to avert heavy traffic jam at the commissioning of the stadium today.
In view of the foregoing, motorists, travellers and the general public are hereby advised to use alternative routes boycotting Adamasingba during the stipulated period.
“Members of the motoring public and general commuters travelling from or to Ibadan Metropolis through Adamasingba are hereby notified of the anticipated heavy traffic due to the official commissioning of the remodeled Lekan Salami Stadium by His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde.
He said that due to the influx of dignitaries from all walks of life, the agency is envisaging there might be slow flow of vehicular movement from 10am-10pm today during the commissioning.
“As all the concerned Authorities are making frantic efforts to mitigate the effect of the exercise on traffic flow, our men and officers would be strategically positioned to ease the traffic.
Fagbemi therefore advised the motorist to take alternative routes to ease the stress the motorist might encounter today.
From Sango Axis inward Mokola, branch at Veterinary junction taking Jembewon Road behind Sabo down to Pensioners FM Radio House and link the main road at Fijabi House inward Iyaganku.
Motorists coming from Dugbe inward Adamasingba should make a U-Turn opposite Bovas Petrol Station and enter at Fijabi House Junction to link Pensioners FM then branch to Recreation Center to link the Mokola-Sango Road inward Sango, University of Ibadan, Ojoo.
He solicited for the maximum cooperation of the motoring public on this development.
Fagbemi assured that the agency will continue to update the public periodically on further traffic related developments that may occur in the course of the commissioning.
