Empowerment: Politics Aside, You’re Performing Well–Oyo APC Chieftain, Aleshinloye Lauds Olatunji
In a rare display of bipartisan acknowledgment of hardwork and appreciation, the former executive chairman of Oluyole Local Government and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo state, Hon. Abass Aleshinloye, has commended the current leadership of the council under Engr. Olatunji.
Aleshinloye in an unprecedented manner lauded Olatunji’s efforts in deepening economic empowerment and grassroots development in Oluyole LG.
Aleshinloye, who was recently honored with a recognition award for his substantial contributions to Oluyole’s development, expressed his satisfaction with the ongoing progress in the local government area.
Speaking about his past tenure, Aleshinloye noted the improvements in key sectors, highlighting Olatunji’s effective leadership in revitalizing the council area.
During his remarks, Aleshinloye, who was also former Oyo state chairman of Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON), took the opportunity to praise Olatunji’s performance not just within Oluyole, but also his wider influence in Oyo State.
Describing Olatunji as his brother and friend, Aleshinloye said: “Politics aside, you’re performing well. I’m impressed with the development in Oluyole under your leadership, I am happy to see the growth and development recorded within the short time of your being in office.
“If people are clapping for you, continue doing well; if there are complaints, listen to them and review your approach. But for now, you’re doing very well.”
The former council chairman also acknowledged the Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Honorable Adebo Ogundoyin, for his insightful presentation at the recent Ajimobi Roundtable, where he advocated for the autonomy of state legislatures, which according to him has further positioned the state as a epicenter of legislative progress.
Addressing newsmen shortly after the event, Olatunji, who thanked Aleshinloye for his acknowledgement described the APC chieftain as a true son of Oluyole who made impacts during his tenure.
Olatunji said, the award presented to Aleshinloye was in recognition of his immense contributions to the development of Oluyole during his administration.
He assured that the words of Aleshinloye and other dignitaries at the event were evidence that efforts of his administration were being noticed and acknowledged by the people vowed to continue to consolidate on his achievements in the coming year.
Olatunji particularly praised Governor Seyi Makinde for the opportunity given him to serve his people and contribute to the development and history of Oluyole local government.
While describing Governor Makinde as his destiny helper, Olatunji vowed to remain focused, consistent and committed to the delivery of more dividends of democracy to his people at the grassroots.
