Strengthening Ties: Polytechnic Ibadan Rector Meets Dr. Fagbemi, Seeks Enhanced Partnership As Discussions Focus on Expanding Academic Offerings, Industrial Training

The Rector of the Polytechnic Ibadan, Dr. Abideen Lasisi, paid a courtesy visit on the chairman of the Oyo State Hospitals’ Management Board (OYSHMB), Dr. Akin Fagbemi, to discuss ways of improving collaboration with the OYSHMB.

Dr. Lasisi appreciated the positive role played by Dr. Fagbemi during his first term and second term tenure of Engr. Oluseyi Makinde, which has had a good impact on the institution.

He urged the chairman to always offer suggestions whenever he notices something within the Polytechnic Ibadan and its environs.

In his response, the chairman of the board, Dr. Fagbemi, said he believes that a citadel of learning like the Polytechnic Ibadan is essential for sustaining posterity.

He advised the institution to add more courses, such as Public Health Nutrition and Biomedical Engineering, to foster continuous collaboration between the board and the institution, particularly in providing industrial training for students.

The chairman’s suggestion aims to strengthen the partnership between the OYSHMB and the Polytechnic Ibadan.

The Permanent Secretary of the board thanked the Rector and his team for the courtesy visit and prayed for more wisdom for the institution’s leadership to take the citadel of learning to greater heights.

In the entourage with the Rector of the Polytechnic Ibadan, Dr. Abideen Lasisi, were the Head of Department, Survey and Geo-Informatics, Mr. Babatunde Akeem, and the P.A. to the Rector, Mr. Olaoye Oyejide.
