According to intelligence assessments, Hamza bin Laden, the son of Osama bin Laden, the head of Al-Qaeda, is allegedly still alive and running the terrorist group, The Mirror said.

This refutes the claim made by the US administration that Hamza was killed during an operation in 2019.

It also highlighted the close ties between the Taliban and Al-Qaeda, which the study called “crucial for Western governments to understand.” The letter claims that Hamza has assumed al-Qaeda’s leadership role and is leading the organization “towards its most potent resurgence since the Iraq War.”

“Under his command, al-Qaeda is regrouping and preparing for future attacks on Western targets,” the report further said.

According to reports, Hamza is adamant about continuing his father’s legacy, which gives his leadership both symbolic and tactical value. The article also mentioned the important role Abdullah bin Laden, the brother of Hamza, is playing in the rebirth.

He was rumoured to be closely collaborating with Ayman al-Zawahiri, the man who succeeded Osama as the commander of Al-Qaeda and had made propaganda movies advocating for strikes on the West.

According to a new allegation from the National Mobilization Front, NMF, a military alliance fighting the Taliban, Hamza is preparing assaults against Western targets while hiding in northern Afghanistan with the help of 450 snipers.
