Oyo NYSC collaborates with Landnest Homes and properties to train 300 corps members on real estate and financial empowerment

The Oyo State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Mr Odoba Abel Ocheh has lauded the Landnest Homes and Properties for supporting the NYSC in providing a template of self employed job opportunities for the Corps members in the state.

Mr Abel expressed his happiness while receiving the management of the Landnest Homes and Properties at Oyo State NYSC Camp, Iseyin.

Odoba Abel in his address commended the real estate firm for putting machineries in place to give the corps members the required skills that would enable them become job providers instead of job seekers.

Abel said, “Your company has been very impactful coming to sensitize Corps members and giving them the necessary skills that would make them to assist them during the service year. At least to generate income and wealth and also increase their income during the service year.”

“It’s part of manpower development and also manpower planning that your organization came to harness and not only that you’ve done some structures that support the orientation camp so that Corps members would have an ideal place where they will have their training and also learning under conducive atmosphere, we are so grateful for this, and I believe with your partnership with NYSC you will go places.”

“We really appreciate you for coming around to help in training these youths that have come from all part of Nigeria and it’s our hope and believe that after the program they be no longer seekers of jobs but creators of jobs, they will be CEOs of their own and also make jobs available to other Nigerians.” He said.

Also, Mrs Okoli Janet Ehie, the Camp Director for Batch 2024 A/2 in her remarks appreciated the Landnest Homes and Properties for coming to Iseyin NYSC Camp to orientate the corp members on self employed job opportunities.

In his remark, the co-founder of the company, Oladeji Solomon said the firm, a Nigeria-based Property Development and Management Company is ready to contribute its quota towards the progress and development of Nigeria.

Also, a co-founder of the company, Mr. Areo Olusola Michael, acknowledged that Landnest as a company has been a champion of affordable and sustainable housing in Nigeria, noting that its Nubia City estate project in Oyo state is a pursuit of its mission to be a catalyst for providing Nigerian citizens with pocket friendly houses at favorable terms and conditions.

He however urged Nigerian youths to strive to be a job creator and not a job seeker, saying the training would go a long way in assisting Corp members to be self reliance and financially independent.
