Stakeholders in Ibadanland have commended the Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo, Delta, Kogi and Kwara, who is also the Aare of Ibadanland, Alhaji Chief Daud Akinola Makanjuola for respecting due process that produced Alhaja Saratu Konibaje as the Iyaloja General of Oyo State, saying Ibadanland and Oyo State at large is happy with his stand.
They also hailed the former President-General of Central Council of Ibadan Indigiens (CCII), Chief Bayo Oyero, Babaloja of Oyo State, Alhaji Yekini Abass for their efforts toward ensuring that due process take it’s course on the Iyaloja General of Oyo State tussle.
The due process according to them produced Alhaja Saratu Aduke Konibaje as a duly elected Iyaloja General of Oyo state.
The stakeholders equally thank all those who in one way or the other contributed towards peace brokered in the Iyaloja General tussle which include leadership of CCII, Alhaja Chief Iyadunni, Mogaji Abass Oloko, Oyo State Markert leaders and others for their patience and perseverance .
A statement signed by the leaders of Oyo State Market council as well as the Coordinator, Ibadan Compound Peace Initiative (ICPI), Mogaji Nurudeen Akinade appealled to Alhaja Nurudeen Abeo who has two blocs against the seven blocs that supported Alhaja Saratu Aduke Konibaje as the Iyaloja General of Oyo State to respect opinion of the due process.
The statement said Abeo should stop parading herself as the Iyaloja General of Oyo State, saying issue of Iyaloja General of Oyo State has gone beyond sentiments or tribalism.
The statement also thanked Oyo State government under the leadership of Engr. Seyi Makinde for allowing the due process to take place just as he was elected democratically as the governor of the state with due process.
“The Aare of Ibadanland who now address Alhaja Saratu Aduke Konibaje as the Iyaloja General of Oyo State was seen together at the Ramadan Lecture of former deputy governor of the state, Alhaji Hazeem Gbolarumi in which Governor Seyi Makinde was also in attendance.
“The governor had earlier visited Baba Oloye Adebayo Oyero who was one of those who attended the broker peace meeting held Ibadan House, Oke Aremo.
Alhaja Sarat Aduke Konibaje has earlier visited the Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Excellency, Chief Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja with her large entourage for a special Iftar as well as Chief Imam of Ibadanland and Grand Imam of Oyo State.
The Chief who prayed for a successful tenure for Alhaja konibaje equally agreed that Islam encourages equity, fairness, justice and due process as a major cardinal of Islam.

Chief Niyi Ajewole, Babaloja General of Oyo State, Alhaji Yekini Abass and others.
“We appreciate Baba Oyero for insisting on the position of people of Ibadan and Oyo State over the Iyaloja General tussle, the due process is not only Ibadan project, but for the goods of all.
“Everybody in Oyo State key into the due process which has nothing to do with tribalism or sentiment
