Nigerian Army kick-starts weeklong activities for middle cadre officers
Nigerian Army has begin a week operational planning program for middle cadre officers on the basic rudiments of operational art, its processes and procedures to give army officers a thorough knowledge of combat and tactical steps inorder to confront the challenges of insecurity facing the country.
The event which begin today, this year theme is ‘Enhancing Tactical Skills in Operational Planning Process For Commanders in a joint Environment’, held at the headquarters of 2division Nigerian Army, Odogbo Barack, Ibadan.
While addressing newsmen, the special guest of honour, Chief of training Nigerian Army, Major General Sani Mohammed admonished the participants to develop tactical level of operations plan from higher command directives and to cooperate with relevant stakeholders, sister agencies and monitoring of operational plans to combat challenges of insecurity.
In his address, General Officer Commanding 2 Division Nigerian Army, Major General Bamidele Alabi said that the training would instill and foster discipline, respect and synergy between the military and other security agencies.
He enjoined the participants to make maximum use of the cadre training to understand the dynamics of proper synergy, collaboration and sound coordination of operations with other security agencies.
The cadre training is an annual event which is organized to refresh Officer on contemporary operational realities of Nigeria Army.
