Day two is Canon masterclass for the participants, and they also used that for networking which will surely help them in their career”.
“The event is a two day seminar, that gives room for the young minded ones to learn how to handle camera on photography and videography, and a platform to mold an individual initiative. This is what I have been doing for over 17 years and it is the way of giving back to the society.”
“This project since it’s inception in 2021 has paved ways for the young ones to realise their dreams and more, I have not missed this for the past 17 years, the photo work we did yesterday is to showcase Ibadan tourist centers to the world, we visited Eleyele River, this really showed the beauty of Ibadan, we have different photoshoots and videos from that locations, and we uploaded them into the internet, the state government need to invest more in the area of tourism, just to revamp the river, and make it more lively for the tourists , this will not only generate revenue for the state but also to create job opportunities for our youths.”
“Government will make more money by investing more in our tourist sites, we also went to the old railway station at Dugbe where we equally have fantastics photoshoots there as well, these are the areas that our government can invest in, and turn it to tourist sites and at the end of the day it will be a plus for the state, we also want to go to Oke Ibadan, the Bowers Tower but that is another project entirely for Ibadan metropolis is blessed with series of tourist attraction sites and if they’re properly managed they can become one of the major sector that will be generating more IGR for this government.”
“All what the government need is just invest and also provide enabling environment for the investors, this is what we are actually doing with EXPO project, we are promoting and
showcasing Ibadan to the world through its tourist sites.”
“We need to empower our youths, they need to be well connected, with this event one of the things we normally do is networking, we always ensure that our participants are well network, we always asked them to collect contact number of the facilitators so they can gain a lot from them, they really need mentorship, this is something people pay huge money for but this project offer and present the avenue for the to network free of charge, they are always ready to give them advance training in photography and Cinematography in Lagos, and Abuja, all they need to do is paying for the logistics to the venue of the training.” Oni said.
