Easter: NLC Oyo Preaches Unity, Workers’ Welfare

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Oyo State Council, has extended warm Easter greetings to Christian faithful across the state, urging them to embrace the values of unity, sacrifice, and perseverance.

In a statement issued by the Council under the leadership of its Chairman, Kayode Martins, signed by the Council’s Secretary, Adebayo Aribatise, wished all Christian faithful a peaceful, joyful, and fulfilling Easter celebration.

The Congress described Easter as a significant period that symbolizes hope, renewal, and victory over adversity through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The Council encouraged workers and citizens to reflect on the virtues associated with the season, particularly selflessness, resilience, and collective unity in both personal and professional lives.

It further called on workers to remain committed to the ideals of justice, fairness, and progress, while urging governments at all levels to implement policies that enhance the welfare and well-being of the working class.

The NLC also offered prayers for peace, stability, and economic prosperity in Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole.
