Easter Celebration: Sunday Adeleke Calls for Love, Peace

Hon. Sunday Adeleke, popularly known as Sunggav, Ibadan South-West local government Chairman hopeful under the banner of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has called for sacrificial love and peace among Christians in Oyo State and across Nigeria as they celebrate Easter; the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

In his Easter message, Sunggav described the season as a important period that teaches the virtues of sacrificial love, which is the hallmark of the faith. His entire life reflects love, and by extension, such life must be peaceful.

He, thereby, called on Christians, “to pay more attention to the teachings and lifestyle of Christ Jesus, especially the death and resurrection, remain one of the foundations of the faith.

He urged, “Christians need to reflect deeply on the core philosophy of Jesus Christ as selflessness remains a strong pillar of the faith. The leadership style of Jesus Christ remains a great example every Christian needs to embrace as the need to serve remains paramount to the faith.

“Christians celebrating Easter across the world, I wish them a joyful holiday filled with reminders of the enduring power of faith and hope in Christ Jesus.

Equally, he assured that “his tenure, when given the opportunity, will witness accountability, good governance and Faith-based leadership that will change the narrative of politics in Ibaban South West Local Government area of Oyo State”.
