Police Confirm Abduction of Four Persons Along Igbeti–Kishi Road, Intensify Search for Suspects

Oyo State Police Command has confirmed the abduction of four persons along the Igbeti–Kishi Road in Olorunsogo Local government of the state.

In a statement by the Command through the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ayanlade Olayinka, disclosed that upon receiving information about the incident, the Commissioner of Police in Oyo State immediately directed the Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) of the Kishi and Igbeti Divisions to take swift action.

According to the police, the DPOs, supported by tactical teams and other operational units, have been ordered to deploy all necessary operational assets to ensure the safe rescue of the victims and the prompt arrest and prosecution of those responsible for the crime.

The Command further revealed that coordinated search and rescue operations are currently underway, with security operatives combing surrounding areas and intensifying intelligence gathering to track down the suspects.

Reaffirming its commitment to the protection of lives and property, the police assured residents that every effort is being made to secure the safe return of the abducted persons.

The Command also urged members of the public to remain calm and cooperate with security agencies by providing useful information that could aid the ongoing rescue efforts.
