Wike Has Attempted Interfere in the Affairs of the APC, and His Wings Will be Cut — APC Chieftain

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has issued a fresh warning to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, over what it described as repeated attempts to meddle in the internal affairs of the ruling party.

Speaking on Trust TV News on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, the APC Director of Publicity, Bala Ibrahim, accused the former Rivers State governor of overstepping political boundaries and trying to exert undue influence within the party.

According to Ibrahim, Wike’s recent political moves and public interventions amount to interference in APC’s internal processes, stressing that the party’s leadership would no longer tolerate such actions.

“Wike has attempted to interfere in the affairs of the APC, and his wings will be cut,” Ibrahim said, signaling a firmer stance by the party hierarchy.

The APC spokesman noted that while political alliances and engagements are part of Nigeria’s democratic culture, no individual regardless of status or past influence, would be allowed to undermine party discipline or decision-making structures.

He added that the APC remains focused on internal cohesion and preparing for future political contests, warning that any actions capable of destabilizing the party would be decisively addressed.

Ibrahim’s comments come amid growing tensions surrounding Wike’s political role and his relationship with both the APC leadership and key actors within the ruling party, fueling debate over the limits of cross-party influence in Nigeria’s evolving political landscape.
