The Chairman of the Oyo State Hospital Management Board, Dr. Akin Fagbemi, has extended warm New Year greetings to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, as well as management and staff of the Board, while commending the governor for his sustained support to the health sector.
The Chairman stated this in his New Year message, signed and made available to journalists, described the beginning of the year as a period for reflection, renewed hope, and rededication to service, noting that the achievements recorded by the Board were largely due to the governor’s visionary leadership and commitment to strengthening healthcare delivery in the state.
According to him, the consistent support of Governor Makinde has significantly enhanced the Board’s capacity to provide quality, accessible, and people-centered healthcare services across Oyo State.
He highlighted the governor’s investments in health infrastructure, human resource development, and institutional reforms, stating that such interventions have continued to inspire confidence and renewed energy among healthcare professionals and administrators.
The Board chairman also commended the management and staff of the Oyo State Hospital Management Board for their resilience, professionalism, and sacrifices, acknowledging their dedication to duty despite prevailing challenges.
“As we step into the New Year, I charge all members of staff to embrace renewed commitment, discipline, and accountability in the discharge of their responsibilities,” Dr. Fagbemi said.
He emphasized the need for higher standards of service delivery, improved teamwork, strict adherence to ethical conduct, and a strong focus on patient care and public trust, adding that the new year demands excellence, innovation, and compassion in service delivery.
Dr. Fagbemi expressed optimism that with the continued support of the Oyo State Government and the dedication of the Board’s workforce, the health sector would record greater milestones in the coming year.
