Fijabi Visits Fagbemi, Seeks Collaboration for Oyo @50 Celebration
A former member of the House of Representatives and Chairman of the Oyo @50 Celebration Committee, Hon. Saheed Akinade Fijabi, has paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman of the Oyo State Hospitals Management Board, Dr. Akin Fagbemi, as part of efforts to build support and collaboration for the forthcoming golden jubilee of Oyo State.
During the visit, Fijabi described Dr. Fagbemi as a long-time dependable brother who has consistently demonstrated leadership, professionalism and commitment to service.
He noted that Dr. Fagbemi’s experience in public administration and the health sector would be invaluable to the success of the Oyo @50 celebration.
Fijabi explained that the visit was aimed at fostering cooperation and encouraging the participation of key stakeholders in making the 50th anniversary of Oyo State a memorable and impactful event.
According to him, the celebration is designed not only to commemorate the creation of the state but also to reflect on its achievements, challenges and future prospects.
Speaking with NationalDailyNews.com.ng after the visit, Fijabi emphasised that the meeting was not driven by political considerations but by friendship and shared commitment to the development of Oyo State.

Fijabi added that the organising committee is committed to ensuring that the celebration brings together sons and daughters of Oyo State across different sectors, irrespective of political or social affiliations.
Meanwhile, the visit formed part of a series of engagements by the Oyo @50 Celebration Committee as preparations intensify for the landmark anniversary.
