Oyo APC Factions Unite Ahead of 2027 Elections

The major warring factions within the Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have agreed to put aside their differences and work together for the progress of the party as preparations begin for the 2027 general elections.

This resolution was reached during a reconciliation and stakeholders’ meeting held at the party’s state secretariat in Oke-Ado, Ibadan.

Speaking at the meeting, the APC’s 2023 governorship candidate in Oyo State, Senator Teslim Folarin, announced that party leaders have resolved to embark on a statewide tour across all constituencies to further strengthen unity and communicate the message of peace to members at the grassroots.

Folarin added that the party is fully prepared to “shut down the state” in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the 2027 elections draw closer.

Also addressing journalists, the Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, declared that peace has returned to the Oyo APC, insisting that the party no longer has factions.

He noted that reconciliation efforts are “90 percent complete,” with the remaining task being the full integration of all members.

In his remarks, Hon. Remi Oseni, representing Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, urged party members to begin mobilizing their supporters early to ensure APC’s victory in 2027.

Earlier, in his remarks, the Oyo APC Chairman, Hon. Olayide Abass, commended Senator Folarin for his role in restoring peace to the party.

He encouraged leaders across the state to intensify grassroots mobilization as the party positions itself for electoral success.
