NLC Urges Pacesetter Transport Service to Embrace Dialogue Before Any Action

…As Labour Union warns against unilateral action, says peace must be protected

The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC Oyo state council has called on the management of Oyo State Pacesetter Transport Service to prioritise dialogue and consultation with stakeholders before sacking staff members.

The Secretary, Oyo NLC, Comrade Bayo Aribatise made this known in a statement made available to newsmen in Ibadan.

According to the statement, the union urged the management under the leadership of Mr Dikko Salami to desist from any action that would disrupt the industrial harmony enjoyed by the people of the state.

The union alleged that the move by Mr Salami to sack some staff members, does not have the backing of the state’s Governor, Seyi Makinde.

The management of Oyo State Pacesetter Transport Service had announced a move to disengage some of its members of staff.
