OYSHMB, Lead City University Strengthen Healthcare Partnership

The Chairman of Oyo State Hospitals’ Management Board, Dr. Akin Fagbemi has commended the management of Lead City University Ibadan for choosing Ring Road State Hospital as a facility for the Medical Students of the institution for their Clinical training.
Dr. Fagbemi made this known during an interface meeting between the students,the management of the board and the representative of the institution at the Lecture Hall inside the hospital.
The chairman recalled that the Medical students of the University of Ibadan started their Clinical training programme at the Adeoyo Maternity Teaching Hospital(ATHM) before the creation of University College Hospital(UCH).
He added that there are a lot of benefits a medical student can give to the community citing example of some medical doctors who have seen it all in foreign land and are ready to come back home to serve their fatherland.
He implored the students to be a good ambassador of the institution and behave themselves during the course of the training so they gain more and add more value to their career.
In her remarks, The Permanent Secretary of the board,Dr. Anifat Ibraheem advised the students to make use of the opportunity during the course of the training for the benefit of the society as people are waiting for them outside the world.
While delivering his goodwill message,the chairman governing council of the Lead City University, Professor Jide Owoeye appreciated the state government and the OYSHMB for giving approval for the Clinical training of Medical students at the Ring Road State Hospital .
He commended the governor of Oyo state, Engr. Oluseyi Makinde FNSE for what he met on ground at the RRSH saying the governor has done well in the areas of health care services as regards sustainable health care services under Omi-Tuntun 2.0 initiative.
The Registrar of the institution Dr. Bola Ayeni while delivering her vote of thanks appreciated the management of the OYSHMB for always come to their aids when the needs arises.
She said that this is not the first time the Lead City University will be in partnership with the Oyo State government and by extension Oyo State Hospitals’ Management Board sited example of Nutrition and Dietitian department who are receiving lectures to upgrade their academic qualifications.
Present at the meeting were chairman of the board,Dr. Akin Fagbemi,the Permanent Secretary,Dr. Anifat Ibraheem and the directors in the board while the management of the Lead City University was led by the chairman governing council, Professor Jide Owoeye.
