2027 Election Will Be Determined by Hungry Nigerians, Not Defecting Politicians – Makinde

…As Gov. Adeleke calls on PDP members to focus on building the party from the grassroots to maintain and gain more electoral territories

Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde has emphasized that the 2027 election would by hungry Nigerians and not defecting politicians noting that the People’s Democratic party would stay with the people of Nigeria and prioritize their aspirations.

Makinde stated this at the Official Inauguration of the newly elected PDP South-West Zonal Executive members held at the party’s zonal Secretariat in Ibadan.

The Governor reaffirmed his support for the zonal executive, stating that he and the Osun state Governor, Ademola Adeleke, would work together to ensure the executive delivers on its mandate.

Makinde highlighted that PDP is the only party in Nigeria with very strong institutions, citing the party’s ability to hold regular National Executive Committee (NEC) meetings as evidence of its strength.

In his remarks, The Governor of Osun state, Ademola Adeleke urged the new leadership of the South-West People’s Democratic party’s to embark on peace building across the state chapter’s of the party stressed that it the right time to reach truce with the aggrieved members of the party.

He appealed to the new leadership of the party to strengthen the party structures at all levels through inclusive practices noting that the party must be built from the grassroots to maintain and gain more electoral territories.

In his acceptance speech, The newly inaugurated elected Chairman of the People’s Democratic party, Southwest Zone, Hon. Kamorudeen Ajisafe promised to work with all the party state’s chairmen to reconcile and harmonize the party to win more State and other positions the party contested at the forthcoming elections.

He appealed to all the party members to remain in oneness not in faction or individual but as one United Force with a clear purpose and determination to build and setting the party by dipping the party conviction to the people and take back the government in the state that are not controlled by the PDP in the Southwest.

The newly inaugurated Southwest PDP Executive are to run the affairs of the party for the period of four years.
