…As Bishop Akinfenwa Commends Makinde’s Governance, Urges Others to Learn

Religious leaders have called on the Federal Government to stop the incursion of terrorist groups into the country by sealing porous borders, especially in the northern forest, to put an end to insecurity in Nigeria.

This call was made by the Archbishop of the Diocese of Ibadan, Reverend Joseph Akinfenwa, in an Exclusive interview with the Publisher of National Daily News Ogundele Olanrewaju, on the importance of Easter Celebration.

He emphasized the need for Christians and Nigerians to live in love, peace, and forgiveness to enable progress and peace in the country.

Bishop Akinfenwa urged Nigerian leaders to learn from the result-oriented principles of Jesus Christ by improving the living standards of the masses.

He said Easter cannot have any meaning if the Lord of Easter did not live an exemplary life, urging Nigerian leaders to emulate the leadership example of Jesus Christ.

Bishop Akinfenwa advised Nigerian leaders to develop the people, the country, and create something useful for the masses, so their names would not be erased from history.

The bishop admonished Nigerian leaders to imbibe the quality of humility exhibited by Jesus Christ, stressing that humility is crucial for any leader aspiring to succeed.

He added that the enjoyment of leadership positions often blindfolds leaders, which can hinder them from delivering their responsibilities.

Bishop Akinfenwa commended Oyo State Governor Engr. Seyi Makinde for improving the road network across the state and building the economy by making lives meaningful for the people.

He called on other Nigerian leaders to visit Oyo State and learn how the state is being governed.

The bishop emphasized that if the government could secure the country by controlling its borders, farmers would be able to work on their farms, and there would be enough food in the land.

He admonished Christians and Nigerians to keep praying for their leaders, forgive those who have disappointed them in the past, and express love and care for each other.

According to Bishop Akinfenwa, Easter Celebration marks the end of Christian lent period which commemorate the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ and his rising.
