The Chairman, Oyo State Hospitals Management Board, Dr. Akin Fagbemi, has felicitated with Muslims in Oyo State on the occasion of this year’s Eid-il-Fitri celebrations.
In a statement signed by Dr. Fagbemi,he expressed his warmest greetings to the Muslim community in Oyo State, urging them to continue to live in harmony with people of other faiths.
He noted that the period of Ramadan, which ended with the Eid-il-Fitri celebrations, is a time of spiritual rejuvenation and self-reflection, adding that the lessons learned during the holy month should guide the actions of Muslims throughout the year.
Dr. Fagbemi commended the Muslim community in Oyo State for their contributions to the development of the state, saying that their commitment to the welfare of others is a testament to the true spirit of Islam.
The Chairman, Oyo State Hospitals Management Board, also used the opportunity to appreciate the support of the Muslim community to the present administration in Oyo State, led by Governor Seyi Makinde.
Dr. Fagbemi prayed that the Eid-il-Fitri celebrations would bring joy, peace, and prosperity to the Muslim community in Oyo State, adding that the occasion should serve as a catalyst for unity and love among all residents of the state.
He urged Muslims to continue to promote the values of compassion, forgiveness, and generosity, which are the hallmarks of the Eid-il-Fitri celebrations.
