The Oke-Alaro Muslim Community in Oluyole Extension area of Ibadanland has been commended for constructing an ultra-modern Muslim Medical Center. The Grand Chief Imam of Ogbomoso, Dr. Yunus Teliat Ayilara, recently gave this commendation during the annual public Ramadan Lecture, where he emphasized the importance of spending in the cause of Allah.

Dr. Ayilara encouraged wealthy Muslims to support the needy and spend their resources on projects that benefit society, such as building of mosques, schools, and hospitals. He also emphasized the need for financial support to complete the medical center, urging guests to donate generously and seeking government support to equip the center with modern medical equipment.

Sheikh Yunus Ayilara enjoined wealthy Muslim brothers and sisters that are interested in Aljanah Firdaos to always spend their resources by supporting the needy and particularly in the cause of Allah.

According to Sheikh Ayilara, the essence of the carefully chosen topic is to encourage members of Oke-Alaro Muslim Community to continue their financial support towards completion of the medical center.

In his words: “The essence of the topic is to encourage invited guests to the event to do the needful through robust donation to ensure early completion of the highly rewardable project.

“The essence of the topic is also to let those that couldn’t make the event know what the Muslim Community is expecting from them, most especially government support in equipping the center with modern medical equipment for smooth operation.

He thereafter expressed his deep gratitude to the Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde for his unwavering support to Muslim Ummah across the state.

He finally prayed for Governor Seyi Makinde and his team that Almighty Allah will continue to grant him the strength and wisdom for excellent performance in office.

He equally prayed for the invited guests at the event and the entire members of Oke-Alaro Muslim Community that Almighty Allah will reward them abundantly here in this world and the hereafter.

Earlier in his welcome address, Barrister Yusuf Anikulapo, the Chairman of Oke-Alaro Muslim Community, expressed his gratitude to the Guest Speaker, Dr Yunus Teliat Ayilara, whom he described as an erudite and versatile Islamic scholar with the pedigree of always speaking truth to power at all levels of government for granting our request.

According to him, “let me state clearly at this juncture that our revered Guest Lecturer has been very supportive of our course and he graciously approved to be our Guest Speaker even when we had not met him physically”, he added.

Barr Anikulapo briefly highlighted some of the several programmes and projects being embarked upon by Oke-Alaro Muslim Community which include acquisition of two acres of land at Idi-Ahun village for School of Science which has been donated to Ibadan Muslim Community; acquisition of another ten acres of land for Muslim Cemetery at Okose near Omi-Adio in Ido Local Government and presently, the ongoing construction of Oke-Alaro Muslim Community Medical Centre at Irepodun Estate (Ajanla), off New Garage/Apata Express Way (Akala Express), Ibadan.

He further explained that, “the major challenge being faced in our activities is funding. I therefore wish to commend our members and friends of Oke-Alaro Muslim Community for their financial support over the years. Our Fathers and Mothers of the day as well as Chairman and co-chairmen were very supportive during the last fund raising towards the completion of our Medical Centre last September”.

He, however, expressed his appreciation to members of the Executive Council, Mission Board, Ramadan Planning Committee and the entire members of Oke-Alaro Muslim Community for their unwavering support all along.
