The Nigeria Labour Congress, Oyo state council in collaboration with Central Working Committee, CWC of the Congress are set to launch the southwest Compressed National Gas, (CNG) Buses given to the union by the federal government.

Unveiling Ceremony Details
Chairman, Oyo NLC, Comrade Kayode Martins made this known in an interview with newsmen at the union’s secretariat, Ibadan.

According to Comrade Martins, the CNG buses will be dropped at Ibadan, for distribution to other states.

Distribution and Launch Plans
He said the unveiling will take place on Friday, 10th of this month at the union’s secretariat, Agodi GRA, Ibadan at 11 o’clock in the morning with Governor Seyi Makinde as the host of the day.

Comrade Martins revealed that labour leaders, political office holders, government functionaries, and residents of the state are expected to be at the occasion.

The chairman noted that the CNG buses would enhance transportation in the state. This development is expected to improve the transportation system in Oyo State.

CWC comprises all the Presidents and secretaries of all the fifty-eight affiliates of NLC. This collaboration is a significant step towards improving the lives of workers and residents in Oyo State.
