Osun APC Chieftain Kabiru Adisa Become International Peace Ambassador
A chieftain of All Progressives Congress [APC] in Osun State, Mr. Kabiru Adeniyi Adisa, has become a Peace Ambassador of the International Cities of Peace.
Established in 2009, the association of International Cities of Peace has members in over 75 nations in Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, South and Central America and Oceania. In 2017, the association achieved Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations.
The award was conferred on the political leader in Ibadan on Wednesday in an elaborate ceremony.
The letter of the award had been earlier conveyed to Adisa by the Chair, Lead Facilitator International Cities of Peace, Mr. Fred Arment .
Arment said: ‘’The Board of Directors of the International Cities of Peace upon the recommendation of the Governing Board hereby confers Peace Ambassador on Mr. Kabiru Adeniyi Adisa , FCA, for outstanding contributions to peace building in Nigeria and globally in commemoration of the 2024 Universal Children’s Day’’.
Responding, Adisa, a Fellow Chartered Accountant, said the award would spur him to do more in pursuit of peace and harmonious relationship in the society.
