The courtesy visit by the Oyo state ALGON Committee members to Dr. Akin Fagbemi, Chairman of Oyo State Hospitals’ Management Board, underscored the importance of collaboration in improving healthcare delivery in the state.
Honourable Adepoju Olanrewaju, Chairman of Ibadan North West Local Government, led the delegation, which included notable figures like Honourable Peter Olusola, Chairman of Oyo East Local Government, and Honourable Olusola Adeleke, Chairman of Ibarapa Central Local Government.
Dr. Fagbemi’s leadership has been instrumental in transforming health facilities across Oyo State, particularly under the Omi-Tuntun 2.0 agenda.
His efforts have yielded significant improvements in healthcare delivery, earning praise from stakeholders, including the ALGON Committee.
During the visit, Dr. Fagbemi highlighted the need for collective action in addressing healthcare challenges in rural areas.
He emphasized the importance of perimeter fencing and adequate security in all health facilities, seeking support from the 33 local government chairmen to make these initiatives a reality.
