Oyo Govt Charges OYRTMA Marshalls to Be Confident and Assertive, As Over 150 OYRTMA Marshalls Unveils at Workshop and Public Launch
… As Deputy gov. warns against recalcitrant behavior from educated individuals
Oyo State government has charged the newly launched Oyo State Road Traffic management Authority (OYRTMA) Marshall to be aggressively confident, self-assertive, effective with humility, and be bullish in order to apprehend errant disobedient of the law.
The charge was made by the deputy governor of Oyo state, Barrister Adebayo Lawal, which was represented by the commissioner for public Works and transport, Professor Dawud Sangodoyin during a day Workshop and public unveiling of over 150 OYRTMA Marshalls.
Speaking, the deputy governor, Barrister Bayo Lawal urged the newly Marshall to be diligent in their service to the state, noting that some recalcitrant educated might want to prove their irresponsibility and right wrongly.
Earlier in his address, The Executive Chairman Oyo State Road Traffic Management Authority, Major Adekoya Adesagba (rtd) expressed the readiness of OYRTMA to collaborate with Marshall in the area of public enlightenment campaigns, which are vital in educating the public in road safety through media platforms.
He further said that the responsibility of the agency is to remain proactive and adopt modern strategies, technologies, and best practices.
The chairman encouraged all OYRTMA Marshalls to take the full advantage of the training they have received at the workshop to enable them fulfill their responsibilities with professionalism, fairness and a deep sense if duty to the public.
