Rotary Club, Iyaganku Refurbished RRSH Children Maternity Ward,Donated Hospital Materials-Dr. Fagbemi

The newly refurbished Children Maternity Ward of the Oyo State Hospital, Ring Road Ibadan was officially commissioned by the chairman of Oyo state Hospitals Management Board (OYSHMB), Dr Akin Fagbemi.

The District Governor of Rotary Club (D9126) which comprises Oyo,Ogun, Ekiti,Ondo, Kwara and Niger States, Rotarian Kayode Olowolagba said the mission of the Club is to bridge the gap by supporting the government in providing social amenities for the residents of such community.

According to him, “Rotary Club will always prioritize the welfare of pregnant women, nursing mothers and their children.

“We have taken it upon ourselves to figure out areas the club can assist the government in making health care accessible to pregnant women, nursing mothers and the children.

He the hospital management to manage the items donated effectively.

In his remarks, the Chairman of Oyo State Hospitals Management Board, Dr Akin Fagbemi emphasized that health remains one of the cardinal programmes of the administration of His Excellency Engr Seyi Makinde.

Fagbemi, therefore reassured Rotary Club, Iyaganku District that the management and the staff of his board have the manpower, the machinery and people to maintain and sustain whatever that is placed in their custody.

He solicited for their support in other health facilities across the state so as to compliment the efforts of the present administration.

Among the items donated were new waste bins, new bedspreads, mosquitoes nets and plastic buckets.

Present at the occasion are the Permanent Secretary of the board ,Dr Anifat Ibrahim, the director of Admin and Supply, Mr Muyiwa Olagoke and the deputy director of Nursing services Mrs Lawal.
