An 80-year-old woman, Mrs. Tinuke Okesanu, has appealed to President Bola Tinubu and Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, to intervene in a land dispute involving powerful individuals, including the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, and the Oyo State Surveyor General.

Mrs. Okesanu, a retired civil servant, claims that these individuals are attempting to forcibly take her landed property, located along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Odo-Ona-kekere, after Sat-guru maraji.

She alleges that the Inspector-General of Police, through a department in the Oyo State Police Command, is conspiring with land grabbers to take her land.

Mrs.Okesanu possesses all necessary documents, including the deed of conveyance, and has been in possession of the land since 2017.

Despite her efforts to resolve the issue through legal means, Mrs.Okesanu claims that the Surveyor General’s office and the police have frustrated her attempts, with the Surveyor General allegedly telling her that she does not have a valid claim to the land due to an expired deed of conveyance.

Mrs. Okesanu is calling on President Tinubu and Governor Makinde to investigate the matter and protect her rights.

She also appeals to women’s groups and the public to support her in this struggle against powerful individuals who are trying to cheat her out of her rightful property.
