The Chairman Oyo State Hospital Management Board, Dr. Akin Fagbemi has urged all the heads of 44 hospitals across the state to support present government agenda inorder to deliver Sustainable healthcare agenda of Omituntun 2.0 by Governor Seyi Makinde.

He stated this while inspecting secondary hospitals facilities across the state alongside with all the Directors of the board after his assumption of office.

The Chairman appreciated His Excellency Governor Seyi Makinde for the opportunity and trust reposed in him to manage the Hospital Management Board and his generosity in approving the recruitment of various categories of health workers.

Addressing the 44 heads of the hospitals across the state, Dr. Fagbemi said that his appointment to the hospital management board was purposeful and intentional by Governor Seyi Makinde to diligently pursuit and realization of the sustainable healthcare agenda component of the Omituntun 2.0.

While explaining the reason of his appointment by Governor Seyi Makinde, he noted that His Excellency wants visible impacts and improvement in healthcare services to people of the state and improvement of public perception over the healthcare services in the state.

Dr. Fagbemi charged all the heads of hospitals to take full charge of their facilities to guarantee it efficiency whe n it needed.

The Chairman, however promised reward for good conduct and diligence for health workers and assured punishment for health workers that would allow allow laxity in duty.

Dr. Fagbemi further assured his commitment to implement the sustainable agenda and solicited the support and cooperation of all stakeholders to achieve the Sustainable Omituntun 2.0 healthcare agenda.

He extended appreciation to the Commissioner for health, Dr. Oluwaserimi Ajetunmobi who held forth to supervise the Hospital Management Board in the absence of a sitting chairman for her commitment to ensure there is affordable health care in the state.

Dr. Fagbemi further commended all the development partners for supporting health programs and government initiatives all the time.

Other key Policies Outlined to take immediate effect by the Chairman, Including;

He directed all the heads of hospitals to Formally reporting of donations and interventions to the board for proper appreciation.

Also Regular management meetings in each hospitals, introduction of time books and movement books, Unscheduled inspection of facilities, Addresing truancy and absenteeism, Sanctions for erring officers, Proper use of government properties, Financial integrity and documentation, Elimination of sharp practices and Concerted efforts to maintain a clean environment.
