LG Poll: Egbeda LG boss optimistic of victory at re-election
The Chairman of Egbeda local government and the chairman of Oyo state association of local government chairmen of Nigeria (ALGON) Hon. Sikiru Sanda has expressed optimism of his victory amidst the massive turn out of his election today.
He gave the assurance while casting his vote today at ward 6, polling unit 39, Aba-odan, Montan Primary School, Montan, Ibadan.
Hon. Sanda commended the security agencies and the OYSIEC personnel for their efforts in discharging their duties to make sure the process conducted smoothly.
He further stated “You can see the turn-out of people, it shows they really prepared are ready for this election.
“And they must come out to cast their vote and vote for the candidates of their own choice and no other candidate but the candidates of PDP all across the board.
“I had been receiving the message all across in all our wards, they are casting their votes for us, our Councilors and myself as the chairmanship candidate, I think the exercise is good.
“Action speak louder than the voice, there us nothing we are expecting than for PDP candidate to win the election, because we are the people that will carry the day.
“We are the party people are expecting because Governor Seyi Makinde’s performance and it is the pay back period for Governor Makinde.
“He has done a lot for the people of the state and people still appreciate him.
“I want to believe that the people’s expectatant is that at the end of this exercise today, the PDP candidates are going to carry the day.
“My people are law abiding citizen and I believe they will not involve themselves in violence and you can see it yourself, you have seen the mammoth crowd, the presence of the security agencies, the presence of OYSIEC officials, all the places are peaceful.
“We heard that in some area the logistics came late and we get to the OYSIEC and everything has been resolved.
“My victory is obvious and it evidently shown the rate people come out not because of any other person but because of me, so am winning and there already, he said.
