Oyo First Lady Fetes Babies Born on Christmas Day
The Wife of Oyo State governor, Engr. Tamunominini Makinde has visited hospitals in the state to present special gifts to babies born on Christmas day as way of celebrating the season with new born babies.
The First Lady who was represented by the wife of the deputy governor, Mrs Ajibola Lawal paid visit to Adeoyo Specialist Hospital, Ring Road, Adeoyo Maternity Teaching Hospital, Yemetu and Oluyoro Catholic Hospital in Ibadan.
Mrs Makinde expressed joy at the safe delivery by the mothers while urging them to maintain good hygiene at all times.
She further noted that many anomalies in the society would be better addressed if parents give proper upbringing to children.
Mrs Makinde charged the parents to take good care of their children and ensure they are well nutured to become leaders of tomorrow.
The first Lady presented gift items and cash to the parents and donations were also extended to the Children Ward of the hospitals.
The wife of the deputy governor was accompanied by the state Commissioner for Health, Mrs Oluwaserimi Ajetunmobi and the Commissioner for Special Duties, Alhaja Fausat Sanni.
