Oyo First Lady Tasks Parents to Reflect on Reasons of Xmas to Show love to Vulnerables
The wife of Oyo state governor, Engr. Tamunominini Makinde has charged parents and guardians across the state to use this Christmas period to reflect on the goodness of God, share and show love to their neighbours and the less privilege.
She stated this at the 2023 Christmas party, where she hosted hundreds of children across the state, held at Agodi garden, Ibadan.
Mrs makinde said that Christmas is a season that come with message of love, joy and gratitude and enjoin children to imbibe in the message of love that come with the season.
She further charged the children to show love through their actions to their parents, siblings and people around them.
Earlier in her address, the Commissioner for women affairs and social inclusion, Mrs Toyin Balogun said that the Christmas party organised by office of the first Lady is a testament to the commitment of the present administration to ensure every child in the community experience the warm of joy that the festive preach.
She charged the parent and guardians to let the Christmas party to be a symbol of collective effort to nurture and protect the well being of all the children.
Mrs Balogun extended her appreciation to her Excellency for organizing the Christmas party with her resources to make the Christmas party a reality.
She advised all the citizens to remember the true meaning of Christmas which entails love, compassion and the joy of giving.
